Overhauled the Website

I have not posted in a month because I have been updating the site content. The content needed a refresh to better showcase our services and the products we sell. It has been a while since we’ve overhauled the website. Instead of many seemingly unrelated pages we have organized them into two categories for now, products and services.

Our services continue to grow and evolve as the needs of our customers change. The exodus from the office and new technologies have provided an opportunity for all of us to learn and adapt. Video conferencing will not replace face to face meetings but the need has spawned massive innovations in collaboration technology. Even those of us in the technology business have learned a lot. Software developers have had to work hard to make their products easy to use for non-techies.

I participated in Microsoft Ignite this winter. It’s exciting to see the advancements in Microsoft 365 that allow people to collaborate, meet and share information. They have made a huge investment in collaboration by engineering the 365 products to work together with ease. That is a huge change. Their focus seems to have shifted from coding to people. They say they are paying attention to how people work and making the software accordingly. The results support that claim.

I am very impressed with Power Apps. It empowers anyone to create a simple app for a computer or mobile device. You don’t have to know anything about coding. Provide a spreadsheet or SharePoint list and Power Apps builds an app to view, add or modify data. You can share the app with co-workers.

Another company that has made significant strides is Sage Software. Sage has embraced the cloud and I couldn’t be more impressed. After being introduced to Sage Intacct I spent the next few months learning the software and its many features. I am happy to say that I am now certified as a Sage Intacct Implementer. I am looking forward to upcoming projects.
