They place less strain on internal IT resources because they don’t require installation and they update automatically. Because the cloud provider maintains the infrastructure and staffing there is the potential for savings. Modern security methods such as multi-factor authentication provide coupled with state of the art data centers ensure that cloud apps are just as secure as on-premise, if not more. Cloud providers have a much larger budget for network security. They have numerous methods at their disposal and state of the art firewalls.
